Truth Universally Acknowledged is an upmarket speculative suspense novel set in a near-future society where official history—including books, digital archives, and language—is quietly revised with each change in power. Think 1984 meets The Lost Bookshop, with a splash of Silo.

Told through dual POVs, the story follows two estranged best friends divided by ideology, ambition, and betrayal: Piper Wells, an editor exiled to an underground Repository where the last unedited texts are preserved, and Sarah Lang, a rising Narrative Compliance Officer inside the Ministry of Media Integrity.

When Sarah attempts to rescue Piper, the plan goes catastrophically awry. Piper instead becomes the subject of the Ministry's most ambitious project. Forced to relive and reinterpret pivotal moments from her past, she discovers the Ministry isn't merely editing history. It's rewriting the narratives through which people understand themselves.

Then the Ministry attempts to erase Piper from Sarah's memory.

With the help of Orion, the Ministry's AI companion, Sarah discovers a hidden message written in the secret language she and Piper created as children. As her memories resurface, so do the layered betrayals that destroyed their friendship—and the conflicting truths they've carried ever since.

At its heart, Truth Universally Acknowledged explores friendship, betrayal, memory, and personal autonomy in a world where even our most intimate stories can be rewritten.

It asks: What happens when narrative itself becomes infrastructure?
