Truth Universally Acknowledged

Truth Universally Acknowledged is an upmarket speculative novel set in a near-future society where official history—including books and digital archives—is “revised” with each change in power. The vibes are 1984 meets The Lost Bookshop, with a splash of Silo.

Told through dual POVs, the story follows two estranged best friends divided by ideology and power: one a rising Narrative Compliance Officer inside the Ministry of Media Integrity, the other an exiled editor sent to an underground Repository where the last unedited texts are preserved.

When a new administration prepares its most sweeping rewrite of reality yet, the women begin secretly communicating again through a coded childhood language. Meanwhile, the Repository’s AI companion, Orion—designed to monitor the exiled archivist—quietly becomes an unexpected ally, drawing them together in a dangerous effort to protect the last record of truth.

It’s a novel about friendship, betrayal, and the fight to preserve our humanity in a world hellbent on erasing the messy truth beneath it all.
